The Punjab Board of School Education (PSEB) issues duplicate marksheets to any student who may have lost their marksheet and need a second copy. To access this duplicate PSEB marksheet, students must visit the official exam website - pseb.ac.in.
The detailed marks certificate for PSEB can now be obtained in 'Tatkaal' process too, which means students can acquire their marksheet copies in an hour. PSEB will levy a charge of INR 2000 for issuance of the PSEB duplicate marks certificates.
Earlier, the Punjab School Education Board issued the duplicate certificates within a weeks’ time. However, with the provision for 'Tatkaal' scheme, students can request the PSEB duplicate certificates offline at the PSEB Mohali office.
If a candidate has applied for the certificate at the deport before 3PM, then the certificates will be dispatched on the same day through trackable courier services. The previous 11-step process of issuing duplicate certificates has been terminated.

When You Might Need It?
The students might need the PSEB duplicate marksheet in case any of the following events happen.
- Loss of original marksheet
- Damage due to accidents like fire or water
- Theft or misplacement
- Name correction (leading to a reissued document)
Steps to Apply for PSEB Duplicate Marksheet
The PSEB duplicate certificate application process is simple and straightforward. Students can apply for the second copy of the PSEB certificate by following the step-by-step process given below.
- Students must visit the official website of the PSEB Board: pseb.ac.in.
- On the homepage, they should click on the ‘duplicate section’ link under the important links.
- A new page will open once students click on the ‘duplicate section’.
- They must click on the ‘Online Application Form for Second Copy/Board Migration /Transcript Certificate’ link.
- Students will now be redirected to a new page wherein they must enter their login details (reference no. and roll no.)
- After logging in, students must fill out the PSEB duplicate certificate application form. They need to furnish all the valid details while filling out the form.
- Next, students must submit the application form and pay a fee of INR 800 to get a second copy of the certificate.

Note: Students can check the status of the PSEB duplicate certificate by clicking on the ‘duplicate certificate form status’ option in the duplicate section. The board might take around 25-30 days to issue the PSEB duplicate certificate.

- Now, under the search bar, they must enter the option they wish to search by like, diary, roll, ref, mobile, ID proof number etc.
- Then, candidates must key in the chosen number.
- Next, students can click on 'search'.
- Lastly, the portal will display the application status below along with candidate details.
