There are just two days left for CLAT 2026 registration to take place online. On August 1st, 2025, the Consortium of National Law Universities, or CNLU, will open the CLAT registration window for all the applicants. Students are now advised to keep all their documents ready if they are planning to register for the CLAT 2026 on the first day. The CLAT exam will be conducted on 7th December, 2025 from 2 PM and 4 PM in the offline mode. Candidates must go through the CLAT 2026 brochure available on the official website to get all the information regarding exam, eligibility, dates, and other crucial factors.

The CLAT application process usually includes registration with a valid email ID and phone number, submission of personal and academic information, uploading documents, choice filling of NLUs, and payment of application fee. Students who fail to meet the CLAT 2026 eligibility criteria will not be allowed to participate in the exam registration process. How to Register for CLAT 2026?

Candidates can follow the below listed steps to know how to apply for CLAT exam.

Registration: Interested candidates will have to register by providing their personal and academic details. Besides, they must select and confirm a password for their newly created account.

Login: After the registration process is completed, candidates must log in to access their application form.

Select the Program: After logging in, choose the program you wish to take this exam for i.e. 5-year LLB or 1-year LLB.

Fill the Application Form: There are various fields in the exam form such as personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam center preferences (3 centers can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation.

Submit the Form: Once these exam details are completely filled, candidates must agree to the declaration and give their consent. After all this is done, candidates must submit the form.

Payment of Application Fee: This is the last step to fill CLAT 2026 Application Form. The payment of CLAT Application Fee must be done through online mode i.e. credit card, debit card or net banking. In addition to the exam fee, candidates will also be required to pay an additional amount of INR 500 if they wish to opt for previous years' question papers.
