The steps to register for the MAT PBT examination are as follows:
- Students must first visit the official MAT website at mat.aima.in
- On the homepage, students must find the ‘Register’ option. Students will be required to fill-in their personal details including their email address, phone number and city as well as generate a password.
- The newly generated credentials of a student will then be shared with their email/ phone number for authentication.
- Students can then login to the website and begin the application process for the MAT CBT examination. First they must choose their preferred mode for MAT (CBT, PBT or IBT). It is very important that students double-check if the MAT exam and their preferred mode for the exam is being held within their city or not. No changes will be able to be made once the form has been submitted.
- After choosing the exam mode, students will be required to fill-in their academic details for the exam form.
- Upon filling-in the details, students will then be required to upload the required documents. These include a student’s signature and passport-sized photograph.
- After the documents have been uploaded, students will be required to pay the registration fees. Not paying the fees will result in students not being considered registered for the exam.
- After cross-checking all the previous steps, students can submit the MAT PBT application form. A confirmation message for the application will be sent to students’ registered phone number or email address.
MAT Exam PBT Eligibility Criteria
Before registering for the MAT PBT examination, it is very important that students meet the examination’s required eligibility criteria. Not doing so will result in not being allowed to register and give the September session of the MAT PBT exam. The eligibility criteria for MAT is as follows:
- Bachelor’s degree from any recognized institution / university.
- Final year students are also eligible to apply for the MAT examination.
- There is no age limit.
- There is no minimum score that students must have attained in their class 10 +2 or UG programs. However, some colleges expect students to have a minimum 50% score in either or both of these categories.

MAT Exam PBT Fee Details
Students who are giving the MAT exam must pay the required fees. The fees for MAT for one single exam in the PBT mode is INR 2200, However, if a student wishes to give the exam in the PBT and CBT mode, they will be required to make a fee payment of INR 3800. The fee payment for the MAT examination can only be made in the online mode. This can only be done via network banking, Credit/ Debit Card or UPI, depending on a student’s choice.
