The September 2025 MAT PBT (Paper Based Test) has been conducted successfully, and candidates nationwide have sent in their assessments and views on the paper. Candidates can find the MAT PBT paper analysis for September 2025 here. As expected, the MAT PBT remained reasonably challenging, in terms of speed and accuracy.
As per the MAT exam pattern, the question paper was classified in five sections namely, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment. Many candidates reported that the Language Comprehension and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning was quite easy, but found the Mathematical Skills and the Data Analysis section a little more challenging, which was rhythmically difficult and calculation-wise tricky with time challenges.
The Indian & Global Environment section was also relatively easy, as it simply assessed existing awareness of current affairs and general knowledge. As per the overall MAT paper analysis for 2025 PBT (September), the paper was designed around knowledge which needed some analytical thinking, honestly testing the speed of problem-solving and also an understanding of the use of time.
