TheMAT exam is scheduled on 28th September 2025 for CBT mode applicants and 21st September 2025 for PBT mode. The MATregistration for MAT CBT will close on 22nd September and 15th September 2025 for PBT mode,and students are advised to register before the deadline to participate in the exam.
The MAT Exam is conducted 4 times a year and the candidates can appear all 4 times if they wish to improve their score. However, it must be noted that for each exam a new application form needs to be filled every time along with paying the MAT Application Fee as well. MAT Exam Dates 2025 At A Glance
- MAT Registration Date: AIMA Conducts the MAT exam 4 times a year and the candidate can choose to register for the session as per their choice and exam preparation. The exam is conducted in February, July, September, and December. The registrations for the September session are currently ongoing for the CBT and PBT mode and the MAT registration deadline for the candidates is September 15, 2025 for PBT, and September 22, 2025, for CBT mode.
- MAT Admit Card Release Date: The MAT Admit Cards are released a week before the exam is conducted. Candidates must ensure to carry their admit cards for the PBT and CBT Mode as no entry will be allowed without a valid admit card and identity proof. The candidates appearing for the IBT Mode also need to download the MAT 2025 Admit Card for the remote proctored exam. The MAT CBT admit card is scheduled to release on September 25 and September 18 for CBT and PBT modes respectively.
- MAT Exam Date 2025: AIMA Conducts the MAT exam 4 times a year and the candidate can choose to register for the session as per their choice and exam preparation. - MAT Result Date: The MAT Results will be announced after a few weeks the exam is conducted. The MAT Scorecard can be downloaded from the official website of MAT and the candidates can utilize their best score for admission to the MBA programs. The MAT result for September session will be released in 2nd week of October 2025.
MAT Exam Dates 2025 - Important Points
Candidates must keep in mind a few important points while attempting the MAT 2025 Examination. It is to be noted that the MAT Exam is considered the most student friendly exam for MBA.
- The MAT PBT & CBT Exam will be conducted in almost 35 test cities across India
- The test cities for PBT and CBT Modes will be different in number. MAT PBT is held in lesser number of cities in comparison to MAT CBT
- Fee payment is a mandatory step and no application will be considered complete without fee payment
- The fee must be paid before the last date of registration for every session
- Candidates can appear in more than one exam mode but will have to pay the fee for each mode separately
- The MAT Exam duration has been reduced to 2 hours this year along with the number of questions. The total number of questions is now 150.
- Candidates can choose the exam mode as per the test city available. Therefore, candidates must fill the MAT Application Form as soon as possible to get their preferred test center
- Candidates can fill upto 2 cities in the test center allotment while filling out the form
- The PBT/CBT Test center allotment is subject to the availability of seats in that particular center and city and is at the discretion of the authorities
- Once the test center is allotted, no changes can be made
- The MAT Exam will be conducted in 2 slots - 10 to 12 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
- Candidates can choose the test date and center for IBT Mode in the MAT Application Form
- Identification for IBT applicants will be done through a valid photo ID and the MAT Admit Card
- Those willing to take the test again can apply in an exam phase by filling out the application form
- MAT Score is accepted in over 800 colleges out of which most are private institutions
