About the Job
Key Responsibilities:1. Be the first point of contact for all booking enquiries
2. Help visitors to book, amend, or cancel general admission, event, and exhibition tickets
3. Respond to requests from visitors with additional access requirements and help them plan their visit
4. Receive special requests such as venue hire requests or school visits, etc, providing additional information about the venue to ensure groups have the best possible visit
5. Manage the Museum’s internal bookings and ticketing system
6. Receive and review all internal requests to book rooms or host events
7. Resolve double-bookings and clashes, using initiative to offer alternative solutions
8. Deliver or circulate a daily briefing, informing teams of any planned activity and tickets sold for the day
9. Produce and circulate a regular admissions report and provide colleagues with more in-depth data on request
10. Liaise directly with the Museum’s booking and ticketing system provider, Access, to maintain the system and support future system development projects
11. Support the successful operational delivery of all types of events
12. Work with internal event leads to create a delivery plan, ensuring key operational information is available and maintained on the booking system
13. Book necessary equipment and schedule appropriate staff
14. Create and share a report on sales and attendance rates
15. Lead on the VIP & school groups, etc, visits
16. Develop a schedule for each school or group
17. Book appropriate spaces and equipment; arrange and brief staff
18. Ensure any refreshments are provided on time and presented to a high standard
19. Take payment by invoice, over the phone, or in person
20. Follow up with the group leader after their visit to gather feedback and encourage repeat visits
