About the Job
The Solar Technical Assistant provides technical support in the installation and monitoring of solar energy systems. This role involves assisting engineers and technicians in system design, troubleshooting, data collection, and ensuring optimal performance of solar power installations.Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in the installation and commissioning of solar power systems (rooftop and ground-mounted).
2. Support site surveys, data collection, and system performance evaluations.
3. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
4. Troubleshoot technical issues under the guidance of senior engineers or technicians.
5. Maintain records of system performance, maintenance activities, and technical reports.
6. Ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
7. Coordinate with the project and operations teams for smooth execution of solar projects.
Required skills & knowledge:
Solar Knowledge: Understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, components, and energy generation principles.
System Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring, inverters, and monitoring systems.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system documentation.
Basic understanding of electrical measurements and tools.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.
Prior experience in solar energy or electrical systems is an advantage.
