About the Job
Key responsibilities:1. Customer Service & Sales
a. Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
b. Understand customer needs and offer appropriate product recommendations.
c. Upsell and cross-sell to increase average transaction value.
d. Handle customer complaints or queries effectively and escalate when necessary.
2. Product Knowledge
a. Maintain in-depth knowledge of all in-store products, including features, usage, and pricing.
b. Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and brand stories to communicate confidently with customers.
3. Visual Merchandising & Store Upkeep
a. Ensure shelves are well-stocked, clean, and attractively arranged.
b. Follow visual merchandising guidelines to keep displays appealing and on-brand.
c. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the store (sales floor, trial/demo areas, stockroom, etc.).
4. Inventory Management
a. Support daily stock replenishment and restocking.
b. Participate in stock counts and inventory audits.
c. Report stock discrepancies or low stock levels promptly.
5. Point of Sale (POS) Operations
a. Efficiently manage billing, returns, and exchanges.
b. Ensure accuracy in handling cash, UPI, cards, and other payment methods.
c. Issue receipts, pack purchases, and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
6. Security & Loss Prevention
a. Monitor store activity to prevent theft or stock loss.
b. Follow proper procedures for damaged goods and shrinkage reporting.
7. Team Support
a. Collaborate with fellow associates and the store manager to achieve sales targets.
b. Support in-store events, workshops, or promotions when required.
c. Stay flexible to handle any other task assigned by the manager to ensure smooth store functioning.
8. Compliance & Policies
a. Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
b. Ensure health, safety, and hygiene protocols are followed.
