About the Job
Key Responsibilities:A. Conceptual Design & Planning
Meet clients to understand project requirements, goals, and budget.
Prepare initial design concepts, sketches, and feasibility studies.
Ensure alignment with functional, aesthetic, and regulatory expectations.
B. Architectural Drawings & Documentation
Create detailed architectural drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections).
Prepare working drawings for construction, including detailing for finishes, doors/windows, and materials.
Ensure accurate integration with civil, structural, and MEP drawings.
C. Regulatory Compliance
Ensure designs comply with local building codes, bylaws, fire norms, accessibility standards, and zoning regulations.
Coordinate with government bodies for approvals (e.g., municipal drawings, plan sanctioning).
D. Coordination with Civil & Engineering Teams
Work closely with civil engineers, structural engineers, and consultants.
Resolve design issues related to structure, site conditions, and services.
Review civil execution drawings for conflicts with architectural intent.
E. Site Supervision & Execution Support
Conduct site visits to ensure construction is per approved designs.
Address on-site design issues or modifications needed due to site realities.
Approve mockups, samples, and material finishes as per design.
F. Client Communication
Present design iterations and drawings for client approval.
Provide updates on progress and handle client queries throughout construction.
G. Material Selection & Specification
Recommend materials, finishes, and fixtures as per design intent.
Prepare material boards, specification sheets, and BOQs.
H. Project Management Support
Assist project managers with timeline planning and milestone reviews.
Participate in coordination meetings with contractors and vendors.
I. Sustainability Integration
Suggest energy-efficient materials and passive design strategies.
Support green building certifications if applicable (e.g., IGBC, GRIHA, LEED).
