About the Job
Key Responsibilities:1. Study the NCERT social science syllabus for classes 6, 7 and 8 (history, geography, civics) and design clear lesson plans aligned to each chapter and learning outcome.
2. Break each chapter into engaging, 45-minute teachable lessons, with a logical progression of concepts from simple to complex.
3. Create student-friendly explanations that simplify NCERT language using real-life Indian contexts, local examples, and age-appropriate vocabulary.
4. Design PPTs /digital lesson scripts that include stories, case studies, visuals (maps, timelines, diagrams, charts), and structured summaries.
5. Integrate activity-based pedagogy (think–pair–share, role-plays, debates, group discussions, quick writing tasks) into each lesson to promote active learning and critical thinking.
6. Add formative assessment elements inside lessons (MCQs, short questions, concept checks, reflection prompts) and ensure coverage of exam-relevant question types.
7. Create simple teacher notes/facilitation cues for each lesson so that teachers can confidently deliver the content in both online and offline classrooms.
8. Ensure lessons support mixed-ability learners by adding scaffolds (glossaries, key points, graphic organizers, step-by-step explanations) and optional challenge questions.
9. Collaborate with the academic team to review and iterate on content based on student feedback, learning gaps, and assessment data.
10. Stay updated with modern pedagogy and NEP-aligned practices (activity-based learning, competency-based education, experiential projects) and reflect these in the lesson designs.
