About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Debt Collector to manage overdue accounts for our Australian client base. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in debt collection. You will be responsible for contacting clients, following up on outstanding payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a professional, compliant approach at all times.Key responsibilities:
1. Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on overdue invoices.
2. Manage end-to-end debt collection processes for Australian clients.
3. Negotiate repayment arrangements while maintaining strong client relationships.
4. Maintain accurate and updated records of all communication and payment commitments.
5. Escalate complex or non-responsive accounts to management with recommendations.
6. Work collaboratively with internal teams such as Accounts, Sales, and Operations.
7. Ensure all communication and actions comply with Australian standards and regulations.
8. Prepare daily/weekly reports on outstanding debts, collections status, and follow-ups.
9. Handle objections professionally and resolve disputes effectively.
10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service with every interaction.
