About the Job
The senior business development manager will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s footprint across target markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B or B2C EdTech sales, exceptional relationship management skills, and a track record of achieving revenue targets.Key Responsibilities:
A. Strategic growth & revenue generation:
1. Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
2. Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with schools, universities, corporates, and channel partners.
3. Expand the company’s presence in existing and new markets through partnerships and strategic alliances.
B. Client relationship management:
1. Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including institutional clients, government bodies, and channel partners.
2. Understand client needs and propose customized EdTech solutions to meet learning and development goals.
3. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through regular engagement and performance review.
C. Market research & analysis:
1. Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
2. Provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements, pricing, and positioning strategies.
D. Team collaboration & leadership:
1. Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to optimize lead generation and conversion.
2. Mentor and guide junior business development executives to improve overall team performance.
3. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
E. Sales operations & reporting:
1. Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
2. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
3. Present regular business reports and insights to senior management.
