About the Job
The senior business development manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across enterprise and mid-market segments. This role requires a deep understanding of the IT industry, emerging technologies, and B2B solution selling.Key Responsibilities
A. Business growth & sales strategy:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and market expansion targets.
2. Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with enterprises, startups, and channel partners.
3. Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, outbound campaigns, and industry events.
4. Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to create customized proposals and RFP responses.
B. Client relationship management:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, decision-makers, and IT procurement heads.
2. Understand client requirements and propose tailored software or IT service solutions.
3. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure profitable outcomes.
4. Ensure long-term client retention through regular engagement and satisfaction reviews.
C. Market research & insights:
1. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
2. Provide feedback to product and delivery teams to refine offerings and service quality.
3. Stay updated on new technologies, industry developments, and market dynamics.
D. Team collaboration & leadership:
1. Mentor and guide junior business development executives to achieve individual and team goals.
2. Collaborate with marketing to plan lead-generation campaigns, content strategy, and brand visibility.
3. Partner with the delivery and project management teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation for new clients.
E. Reporting & performance tracking:
1. Manage and track all sales activities using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, etc.).
2. Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses.
3. Present strategic insights and pipeline updates to senior management.
