About the Job
Taiyō.AI is the world’s first infrastructure intelligence platform, building the largest industry-standard database of opportunities (tenders, projects, news) and risks (economy, climate, geopolitics, finance, logistics, etc.) for real assets. Our customers include infrastructure investors, engineering and construction firms, and insurers who use Taiyō.AI to discover new opportunities, understand dynamic risks, predict prices and demand, and mitigate supply and execution risks.This role is for someone who wants to build GenAI systems—not just call APIs. You will work on world-model reasoning, knowledge-graph-grounded LLMs, fine-tuning, and multimodal workflows across text, tables, maps, and documents.
Key responsibilities:
1. Build models and pipelines that simulate or reason over infrastructure projects, timelines, and risks such as delays, cost overruns, and supply disruptions.
2. Prototype “what-if” scenario tools using LLMs combined with structured data.
3. Build and enhance our knowledge graph by linking projects, tenders, companies, locations, materials, and risks, and by designing entity and relationship schemas.
4. Implement KG-based retrieval and reasoning flows for ConstructChat.
5. Fine-tune or adapt LLMs/SLMs for classification, tagging, extraction from noisy PDFs and websites, domain-specific Q&A, and infrastructure reasoning.
6. Work on multimodal pipelines combining text, tables, geospatial metadata, and optionally satellite or earth imagery.
7. Build evaluation datasets and benchmark models for accuracy and robustness.
8. Define and maintain prompt templates, evaluation sets, metrics, experiment logs, versioning, and documentation.
9. Work with the data engineering and product teams to integrate models into production through simple APIs, microservices, monitoring dashboards, and human-feedback loops.
10. Own production components that directly impact live users and global infrastructure datasets while working closely with the founder and senior engineers.
