About the Job
The incumbent would be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the pre-launch phase of the properties in the mid-market segment, ensuring that the property is fully prepared to deliver exceptional guest experiences from day one. This role involves strategic planning, operational setup, recruitment, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the hotel's opening goals within set timelines and budgets.Key Responsibilities
A. Pre-Opening Planning, Coordination & Project Management
1. Develop and execute the pre-opening project plan, including timelines, budgets, and key operational milestones.
2. Coordinate across departments to ensure completion of all pre-opening deliverables.
3. Serve as the primary liaison between the hotel and contractors to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
4. Work with the finance team to process vendor payments and ensure disbursements occur as scheduled.
5. Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and service standards.
6. Assist in preparing pre-opening budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.
7. Collaborate with finance, revenue, and intelligence teams to forecast P&L for upcoming properties.
B. Operational Readiness
1. Develop, document, and implement operational policies, SOPs, and service standards.
2. Manage procurement and delivery of operating supplies and equipment (OS&E) and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
3. Oversee installation and setup of operational systems, technology infrastructure, and guest service platforms.
C. Compliance & Quality Assurance
1. Ensure all required permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals are obtained before opening.
2. Conduct quality inspections and operational readiness assessments across departments to confirm standards are met.
D. Opening Launch Support
1. Address and resolve last-minute operational or logistical issues prior to launch.
2. Facilitate a smooth transition from pre-opening to full operational status.
