Designation: Medical Officer (Doctor)Department: Health Services/Community Health Program
Reports to: Project Coordinator/Program Manager
Job Purpose: To provide quality primary healthcare services through fixed and mobile units in rural and tribal communities of Aragonda or Amarabad.
The doctor will lead medical service delivery, ensure proper diagnosis and treatment, conduct health awareness sessions, and contribute to improving rural health outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
1. Serve as the clinical lead for health outreach programs and rural health centers.
2. Provide consultations, diagnose and treat patients, and prescribe medications as per standard medical protocols.
3. Conduct regular outreach camps in villages, ensuring preventive, promotive, and curative care.
4. Supervise nurses, health workers, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery.
5. Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records and reports.
6. Monitor and ensure the availability of essential medicines and medical consumables.
7. Conduct health awareness and disease prevention sessions within the community.
8. Coordinate with local health authorities, government functionaries, and partner institutions.
9. Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and quality audits of health services.
10. Travel within the designated project area for field activities and mobile health operations.
Qualifications and experience essential: MBBS from a recognized university with valid registration from the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.
Experience: Minimum 1+ years in clinical practice, preferably in community or primary healthcare settings.
Skills:
Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making ability.
Basic computer literacy (MS Office, EMR entry).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Work conditions
Location: Aragonda (Andhra Pradesh) / Amarabad (Telangana) – rural and tribal field locations.
Timings: 8 hours per day, 6 days a week.
Travel: Required within project villages for outreach services.
Languages: Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Telugu preferred.
Commitment: Willingness to live and work in rural India and engage closely with local communities.
