About the Job
Key Responsibilities:1. Translate video script content from Japanese to English with precision and cultural sensitivity
2. Review and modify machine translation, keeping the video sentence length intact.
3. Conduct thorough research when faced with unfamiliar terminology or industry-specific jargon to maintain accuracy in translations.
4. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Japanese and English languages and cultures to ensure translations are contextually relevant and culturally appropriate.
5. Effectively coordinate with the team of editors for sentence length-related issues.
6. Modify the translated text according to the machine voice recording length and support the editors to achieve the desired length of the audio output.
7. Work closely with other team members, editors, and subject-matter experts to ensure accurate translations.
8. Be open to feedback and continuous improvement.
9. Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality translations.
10. Regularly review and update translation glossaries and style guides.
