About the Job
Key responsibilities:1. Space planning and concept development: Analyze how a space will be used and create preliminary sketches, blueprints, and 2D or 3D plans. Develop mood boards and select color palettes to communicate design concepts.
2. Material and finish selection: Specify all essential and decorative items, such as flooring, paint, lighting, furniture, and plumbing fixtures.
3. Project management: Create project timelines and cost estimates, and coordinate all activities and resources, including suppliers and contractors.
4. Technical oversight: Ensure designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
5. Execution and installation: Oversee the implementation of the design by working closely with contractors and tradespeople, such as electricians and carpenters.
