About the Job
Key responsibilities:A. Financial Management & Planning:
1. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
2. Develop financial strategies to support the company’s growth, profitability, and investment goals.
3. Manage fund allocation, vendor payments, and expense tracking efficiently.
4. Monitor financial performance and prepare MIS reports, P&L statements, and balance sheets.
B. Accounting & Compliance:
1. Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
2. Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC returns.
3. Ensure compliance with DGCA-related financial norms and government contracts (if applicable).
4. Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions as per company and legal standards.
5. Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and coordinate with auditors for financial reporting and compliance.
C. Cost Control & Budgeting:
1. Analyze costs related to R&D, manufacturing, and operations to improve efficiency and reduce overheads.
2. Prepare annual budgets and monitor variances to ensure adherence.
3. Implement cost-control systems and monitor project-level spending.
D. Funding & Treasury Management:
1. Manage company cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
2. Coordinate with banks, NBFCs, and investors for funding, credit lines, or project financing.
3. Evaluate financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
E. Policy Development & Financial Systems:
1. Develop and implement finance policies, internal controls, and SOPs.
2. Streamline accounting and financial reporting systems using ERP or accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, etc.).
3. Ensure data accuracy and financial transparency across all departments.
F. Cross-Functional Coordination:
1. Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and departmental heads on financial planning and operational decisions.
2. Participate in strategic decision-making related to investments, partnerships, and pricing models.
3. Support procurement, HR, and operations teams with budget and financial data.
