About the Job
The field sales manager will be responsible for driving on-ground sales activities, managing field executives, developing sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets. The role focuses on client visits, market expansion, team coordination, and building strong customer relationships while ensuring structured reporting and performance monitoring.Key Responsibilities:
A. Sales & revenue growth:
1. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
2. Conduct client visits, meetings, product demonstrations, and negotiations.
3. Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
4. Build and maintain relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
B. Team management & coordination:
1. Train, guide, and monitor the field sales team.
2. Assign daily/weekly tasks and track performance of field executives.
3. Conduct joint field visits with the team to support closure and lead conversion.
4. Ensure timely reporting and structured communication from team members.
C. Lead management & conversion:
1. Review leads generated by the team and ensure timely follow-ups.
2. Support team in closing high-value deals.
3. Maintain proper documentation of leads, client interactions, and conversion details.
D. Market research & competitive analysis:
1. Conduct on-ground market research to identify trends and competitor activities.
2. Provide insights to management for pricing, product improvement, and strategy building.
E. Reporting & documentation:
1. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
2. Maintain accurate data in CRM/Excel for leads, visits, and closures.
3. Present performance summaries to management with actionable insights.
F. Customer relationship management:
1. Maintain long-term client relationships for upselling and repeat business.
2. Resolve customer issues or escalations arising from field operations.
G. Coordination with internal departments:
1. Work closely with operations, support, and finance teams for smooth order execution.
2. Ensure client onboarding and service delivery as per expectations.
