About the Job
Key responsibilities:1. Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules for deliveries and pickups.
2. Handle, supervise, and maintain a team of delivery drivers — including attendance, performance, and discipline.
3. Assign delivery routes and ensure drivers adhere to delivery timelines and company policies.
4. Provide route guidance and support to drivers for optimal efficiency.
5. Track live delivery status through GPS/tracking systems and resolve delivery issues proactively.
6. Maintain accurate driver records — licenses, ID proofs, route logs, and performance reports.
7. Coordinate between warehouse, customer service, and delivery staff for smooth operations.
8. Communicate with customers regarding delivery status, delays, or exceptions.
9. Ensure drivers follow safety standards and proper parcel handling practices.
10. Prepare and submit daily/weekly dispatch and driver performance reports.
11. Support recruitment and training of new delivery personnel when required.
