BookMyShow is India’s biggest entertainment company. We are the go-to entertainment platform for millions of transacting users who watch movies and out-of-home entertainment. We also produce and manage the biggest music events, live performances, sports, and plays across India, such as Lollapalooza, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Bandland, Guns N’ Roses, U2, Cirque De Soleil, Indian Premier League and others.Key responsibilities:
1. Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition as per agreed commercial terms and timelines.
2. Record daily journal entries and manage day-to-day accounting activities.
3. Provide accounting support to the Business Finance and Business Development teams.
4. Review commercial terms to ensure they are favourable to the company and align with revenue recognition policies.
5. Conduct monthly customer ageing analysis and highlight critical or overdue payments.
6. Ensure accurate and timely vendor invoice booking.
7. Process vendor payments within timelines while optimising credit periods provided by vendors.
8. Perform monthly vendor ageing analysis and coordinate with internal stakeholders for invoice clearance.
9. Prepare consolidated monthly estimates and P&L statements.
10. Handle GSTR 2A reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies.
11. Assist in the preparation of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
