About the Job
Key responsibilities:A. Technical drawings & detailing:
1. Prepare accurate CAD drawings based on the designer/architect’s concept sketches.
2. Develop working drawings, including:
3. Floor plans
4. Sections & elevations
5. Detailed joinery drawings
6. Furniture detailing
7. Electrical & plumbing layouts
8. Reflected ceiling plans (RCP)
9. Create good-for-construction (GFC) drawings with complete dimensions and notes.
B. Coordination with design team:
1. Convert design concepts into technical drawings while maintaining design intent.
2. Coordinate regularly with architects, interior designers, and 3D team for drawing updates.
3. Incorporate feedback and markups quickly and accurately.
C. Site coordination & measurement:
1. Conduct site measurement visits when required.
2. Update drawings based on site conditions or changes.
3. Ensure drawings match the actual site dimensions and constraints.
D. Material & product integration:
1. Integrate material details (tiles, veneers, hardware, lighting, profiles, etc.) into drawings.
2. Create detail sheets for custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
5. Quality control:
1. Check drawings for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
2. Maintain drawing standards, line weights, layers, and formatting.
6. Documentation & file management:
1. Maintain organized drawing sets, versions, and revisions.
2. Prepare PDF sets for clients, contractors, and vendors.
3. Follow the firm’s internal drawing templates and SOPs.
