About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated backend engineer (L3/L4) with 0–1 years of professional experience to join our fast-paced engineering team. This role is ideal for early-career developers who possess strong foundational knowledge of backend technologies, a passion for building scalable systems, and the curiosity to solve complex engineering challenges. You will work closely with senior engineers to design, implement, and optimize backend services that power high-performance applications used by thousands of users.Key Responsibilities:
A. Backend development & API engineering:
1. Design, develop, and maintain server-side features using modern backend technologies.
2. Build robust, scalable, and secure RESTful or GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.
3. Contribute to architectural discussions and help implement best practices for microservices and distributed systems.
B. Database design & management:
1. Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to design efficient schema, write optimized queries, and ensure data consistency.
2. Assist in performance tuning, indexing, and database-level optimizations to support high-volume traffic.
C. Code quality & testing:
1. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with industry standards.
2. Develop unit tests, integration tests, and contribute to automated testing frameworks to maintain system reliability.
3. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and continuous learning.
D. Performance, monitoring & troubleshooting:
1. Support the development of high-performance systems by optimizing application logic and identifying bottlenecks.
2. Assist in setting up logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to ensure system stability.
3. Troubleshoot production issues under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to long-term fixes.
E. Collaboration & continuous improvement:
1. Work closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
2. Engage in sprint planning, technical discussions, and documentation efforts.
3. Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve development efficiency.
