About the Internship
As an SEO intern at The Daily Stream, you will have the exciting opportunity to apply and expand your knowledge of Search Engine Optimization techniques to help drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Content Research & Planning
1. Research trending topics, keywords, and audience interests relevant to The Daily Stream’s news and article categories.
2. Identify content gaps and opportunities for ranking in search engines.
B. SEO-Optimised Writing
1. Write clear, engaging, and plagiarism-free articles that follow SEO best practices.
2. Naturally integrate targeted keywords while maintaining reader-friendly flow.
C. On-Page SEO Implementation
1. Optimise meta titles, meta descriptions, headings (H1, H2, etc.), and image alt texts.
2. Ensure proper internal linking to relevant articles on The Daily Stream.
D. Content Editing & Proofreading
1. Check grammar, punctuation, and readability before publishing.
2. Edit content based on feedback from senior writers or editors.
E. Trend & Analytics Monitoring
1. Track article performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
2. Suggest improvements based on SEO metrics (CTR, impressions, keyword rankings).
F. Collaboration
1. Work closely with the editorial team to align articles with The Daily Stream’s tone and style.
2. Coordinate with the social media team for promotional posting.
G. Learning & Skill Development
1. Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, Google algorithm changes, and writing techniques.
2. Participate in training sessions and apply new skills to improve content reach.
