About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Develop, manage, and maintain GIS databases, applications, and geospatial products.
2. Collect, analyze, and interpret geographic data from various sources (satellite imagery, aerial photographs, maps, etc.).
3. Create high-quality maps and visualizations to effectively communicate spatial insights.
4. Conduct spatial analyses, including clustering, proximity analysis, and overlay analysis.
5. Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and data scientists to integrate GIS technology into workflows.
6. Provide technical support and training for GIS software and tools.
7. Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of GIS data and systems.
