About the Internship
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and creative Graphic Designer to design professional and visually engaging book covers across various genres. The ideal candidate will translate a book’s theme and tone into compelling visuals that resonate with the target audience. This role involves collaboration with authors and publishing teams, concept development, and preparation of print- and digital-ready files that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Design full book covers, including front, spine, and back, for both print and digital formats.
2. Collaborate with authors, editors, and marketing teams to align designs with the book’s content and audience.
3. Develop and present multiple design concepts; refine selected designs based on feedback.
4. Select appropriate typography, imagery, and color schemes; ensure files meet all technical specifications.
5. Maintain visual consistency across series or author branding while staying updated on design trends.
Job Requirements -
1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; equivalent professional experience accepted.
2. Strong portfolio showcasing book cover or related design work, with solid understanding of typography, layout, and composition.
3. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with additional skills in CorelDRAW, Lightroom, Figma, and video editing.
4. Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
5. Knowledge of print production standards, file formatting, resolution, and specifications for publishing platforms.
