IIT Kanpur will commence the JEE Advanced Registration 2025 from 23rd April 2025 (10 AM) for Indian Nationals and has commenced the registration from 7th April 2025 (10 a.m.) for foreign nationals on its official website i.e.jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced Application Window will remain open till 2nd May 2025 (5 PM).
The top 2,50,00 rank holders of JEE Main 2025 across all the categories will stand eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. Candidates registering themselves for the exam must fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2025 on or before (preferably before) 2nd May 2025in order to avoid any hassle while filling up the application form.
All the candidates who will complete the JEE Advanced 2025 registration by the deadline can pay the application fee till May 5.JEE Advanced registrations will be open for the candidates who will qualify JEE Main 2025, except for the foreign nationals who are exempted from JEE Main exam. JEE Advanced - Brief Overview
JEE Advanced is the second stage for all the IIT Aspirants. To be eligible for the Indian Institutes of Technology across India, JEE Advanced Exam serves as the sole criterion and the aspirant must qualify both the exams under JEE Advanced to get into an IIT. By clearing JEE Mains, the aspirants can get admission to the best IITs in India and pursue courses like B.Tech, B.E and other dual and integrated courses as offered by the universities/colleges individually.

JEE Advanced Registration 2025 will begin from 23 April 2025 (10 AM) by IIT Kanpur. How to Fill JEE Advanced Registration Form?
The JEE Advanced registration is a simple process and involves 4 basic steps. These steps involve the following:
- Registration for JEE advanced
- Uploading documents

Step 1 - JEE Advanced Registration
The registration procedure is the first step that students must take in order to successfully register themselves for the exam. Please follow the instructions mentioned below for JEE Advanced Application Form filling.
- Visit the official website of JEE Advanced
- Enter your JEE Main Roll Number/ JEE Main Application Number and Password.
- Enter a new password to proceed.
- A new page will appear containing personal and academic details of candidates.
- Enter basic details such as Language of the Question Paper (English/Hindi), Preferred City for Exam, etc.
- Enter 6 preferred cities as per your convenience where you would like to take the exam.
- Save these steps and move to the next step.
Step 2 - Upload Required Documents

List of Documents needed by candidates who dropped out between November 5 and November 18, 2024
- A letter duly stamped and signed, from the Head of their Institution (Dean/Principal/Director), as per the format given in the updated JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure.
- An affidavit duly stamped and attested by a notary public, on a nonjudicial stamp paper of INR 10 as per the format given in the updated JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure. The affidavit should be of the candidate if she/he is more than 18 years of age. If the candidate is less than 18 years of age, the affidavit should be given by her/his parent or legal guardian.
- Withdrawal letter/notification issued to the candidate from her/his college/university/institute.
Step 3 - Payment of JEE (Advanced) 2025 Registration Fee
After the uploading of documents, candidates can move to the next step which is processing the payment of application fees. Candidates must notice that JEE Advanced Registration Fee is neither refundable nor transferable. Process the payment of registration fee and take a printout of the receipt and the duly filled application form for future reference. Note that JEE Advanced Application Form cannot be withdrawn once filled.

Payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fee
Below mentioned are the various payment modes for JEE Advanced Application Fee.
Payment by SBI Debit Card/ Internet Banking
When proceeding to make the payment of registration fee, click on the option “Pay Registration Fee”. The system will redirect to the State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page.
Then candidates can select any of the displayed options such as SBI Debit Card or Internet Banking. After the payment is done successfully, candidates can take a printout of the completed registration details page with Unique Registration Number.
Payment by Cash via SBI Branch Option
Candidates going for Cash payment must select ‘SBI Branch'. Doing this will generate a bank challan automatically. Take a printout of the challan and process the payment of registration fee in cash at any SBI Bank branch.
How to Pay JEE Advanced Registration Fee?
Processing the payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fee can be done in both online and offline modes. Below are the steps one should follow for online as well as offline payment methods.
Online Mode of Payment
Payment of Registration Fee has to be done while filling JEE Advanced Application Form 2025.
- Click on the ”Pay Registration Fee” link.
- A new page will appear where you can select the payment mode i.e. Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI or Wallet.
- After the payment is successfully made, URN will generate. Take a printout of the same and save it for future reference.
Offline Mode of Payment
While opting for offline mode, candidates must select the payment mode on JEE Advanced Application Form 2025 as “SBI Branch”.
- This will generate an e-challan that students can later use to pay the fee in cash at any branch of SBI Bank.
- After making the mandatory payment in cash, enter the transaction details.
- The URN will be generated after the verification is done.
- Save these details for future reference.
- Payment of Exam Centers Outside India (SAARC/Non-SAARC/Indian Nationals)
- Candidates will have to process the fee through International Debit or Credit Card issued by Foreign Banks and issued outside India.
- No cash payment can be made.
- Indian Cards will not be accepted.

- The certificate must mention ‘SEVERE' to enable the candidates to claim its benefits.

- Candidates who need scribe must request a letter to the Chairman of IIT Kanpur.

JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form for Services of Scribe
The PwD candidates who are visually impaired OR dyslexic (severe) OR have a disability in the upper limbs OR have lost fingers/hands thereby preventing them from properly operating the Computer Based Test platform may avail the services of a scribe.
- PwD candidates who desire to avail the services of a scribe need to opt for this during the online registration of JEE Advanced 2025.
- Note that. The scribe will help the candidate only in reading the questions and/or keying in the answers as per the directions of the candidate. A scribe will neither explain the questions nor suggest any solutions.
- How to avail a scribe.To avail the services of a scribe, the candidate should request the Chairperson, JEE (Advanced) 2025, of the nearest Zonal Coordinating IIT in the prescribed format (FORM-SCRIBE). The requisition, along with a copy of the PwD certificate (FORM-PwD [II/III/IV, whichever is applicable]) OR a copy of the certificates of Dyslexic Candidate (FORM- DYSLEXIC 1 and DYSLEXIC 2), whichever is applicable, must be uploaded at the time of online registration for JEE (Advanced) 2025.

What to Avoid During JEE Advanced Registration?

JEE Advanced Important Guidelines for International Aspirants
Candidates who are not citizens of India and those whose parents are not citizens of India do not fall under the category of OCI category are treated as foreign aspirants.
- 10% of the total seats in every course are allotted to foreign nationals.
- Foreign aspirants are not eligible for the reservation under OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories. (mandated by Indian Govt.)
- Foreign aspirants are not required to take the JEE Main Exam and can directly apply for JEE Advanced 2025.
- Identity Proof - Citizen certificates or passport of both the candidates.
JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form Correction
There are no provisions for correction in details filled in the online JEE Advanced 2025 form. Once the application form is submitted and the application fee is paid, the forms cannot be accessed for editing or any sort of correction. Therefore candidates must carefully read, fill and submit the JEE Advanced application form 2025. The details in the application form will be used in admit card, the result and also in the final admission/counselling. Hence the candidates must be very cautious while submitting the JEE Advanced form. Check all details twice before the final submission of the form.
