Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CAT exam registration deadline?

The expected CAT 2025 registration deadline is late September 2025. Keep an eye on the official CAT website for the exact dates. Registering early is always recommended to avoid last-minute rush.

How to prepare for CAT document upload?

Scan all necessary documents (photo, signature, certificates) well in advance, at least two weeks before the application opens. Ensure they meet the specified size and format requirements. Keep them readily accessible on your desktop.

What documents are needed for CAT registration?

Youll need a passport-size photo, signature, category certificates (if applicable), and academic documents. A photo ID is needed for the exam, not during registration. Check the official website for complete details.

Why does my CAT photo need specific dimensions?

The CAT system uses automated checks. Images that do not meet the size and dimension requirements (30mm x 45mm, 30-200KB) might get rejected, causing delays. Follow the guidelines precisely.

Can I choose my preferred IIM during CAT registration?

No, you cant select a specific IIM during the CAT registration. CAT is a common entrance exam; your scores determine which IIMs you can apply to later in the admission process.

Is it possible to correct uploaded documents after submission?

Usually not. Double-check everything before submitting. Incorrect or blurry documents can lead to rejection. Prepare your documents carefully to avoid any issues.

How big should my CAT application documents be?

Size limits vary by document type. Photos and signatures are 30-200KB. Certificates are generally limited to 1MB. Always check the official CAT website for the most up-to-date size requirements.
