The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the 2025–26 Political Science syllabus for Class 12. This curriculum and syllabus will be used to develop the 2025 board exam papers and are thus of utmost importance for the 12th Class students. There are a total of six units covered in the West Bengal Class 12 Political Science syllabus 2025 that are further diluted into chapters to teach students about cultural amalgamation, colonialism, nationalism, etc. The theory section has 80 marks and 20 marks are allocated to projects.

The present WBCHSE curriculum of Political Science is framed in a systematic manner to facilitate students to have an understanding of political ideas, ideologies, institutions, policies, processes, and behaviour. The contents enrich student’s writing, communication, data analysis skills and also develop knowledge about current and past political events across the world.
