The official CAT notification 2025 has not been out yet by the authorities. It is expected that the CAT 2025 notification will be out by the last week of July 2025 and it'll include information regarding the CAT exam dates, registration, eligibility criteria, fee structure, exam pattern, syllabus, test centers and more. Students must note that IIM Kozhikode is going to conduct CAT 2025 and the online application procedure will take place on the exam's office portal of current year (yet to be activated).
Because the CAT 2025 test is accepted by 21 IIMs, other elite B-schools, and approximately 1,300 MBA schools in India, any aspiring candidate who wishes to pursue an MBA course in 2026 will write the test to obtain a legitimate score. The CAT test is created to assess candidates' excel skill in three areas: Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR).
The CAT 2025 test is administered in the format of a computer-based test with a 120-minute duration to finish (40 minutes for each section). Steps to Fill CAT Application Form 2025
As per the unofficial CAT Notification 2025, the registration for the exam will start in the first week of August 2025. Students can simply follow the below listed steps to apply for the CAT 2025.
- Visit the official website of CAT (out soon)
- Click on the “Register” and proceed with the registration
- Now log in with your registration credentials
- Access the application form and start filling it out
- Fill in personal, academic, and work experience details as per the requirements
- Select preferred exam location
- Upload all the required documents such as academic certificates, category certificates, etc.
- To finalise the application process, candidates will be required to pay the CAT 2025 application fees.
- Review the application form carefully and submit it after verification
- Download and save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference
Who Can Register for CAT Exam?
Students need to meet the CAT minimum eligibility criteria to register for the exam. Check out the eligibility norms given below.
- A Bachelor’s degree in any stream is a must.
- A minimum of 50% score or equivalent CGPA for General category students.
- A minimum of 45% marks or equivalent CGPA for reserved candidates.
- Students appearing in the final year of their Bachelor's program can also apply for CAT 2025.
- Aspirants must qualify for the last exam from a recognized university/institute.
- There is no age limit for the CAT exam.
What Should Students Do Till CAT Notification is Out?

Students have a golden period for CAT preparation now as there are approximately 5-6 months left until the exam. If students start practicing now, they'll definitely be able to cover the entire syllabus by exam date and perform well in the examination.
