The Uttar Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2025 option is underway for students registered to fill seats in MBBS and BDS programs for the state quota. The state merit list is scheduled to be released July 30. The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh is conducting the counselling for students who qualify for the NEET UG 2025 exam that took place in May 2015 and are eligible because of the state domicile requirement. The registration option opened on July 18 and ended on July 28. The choice filling and locking of choices will be open July 31-August 4.
Round 1 allotment results are scheduled to be released August 5. Candidates selected in this first round must report to their respective college from August 6 to August 14. Note, this counselling includes seats from 85% of government and private medical and dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh, Candidates can fill in and lock their choices infinitely, and filling choices is completely transparent, and the entire process is online. There will be three other rounds following Round 1- Round 2, Mop-Up round, and Stray Vacancy round which will be utilized to fill the remaining seats based on merit and available choices.

- Visit the official website of UP NEET UG Counselling: upneet.gov.in
- On the homepage, look for the link titled “UP NEET UG 2025 State Merit List”
- Click on the link to open the merit list page
- The merit list is usually released in PDF format
- Click on the download icon or right-click and select “Save As” to download the file
- Open the downloaded PDF and use Ctrl + F to search your name, NEET roll number, or application number
- Verify your rank, category, and other details carefully

What to Do After UP NEET Seat Allotment Round 1
- Check your seat allotment result on the official website by logging into your counselling account.
- Download and print the allotment letter from the portal to complete other admission procedures.
- Report to the allotted college within the time period designated by the authorities (ex. August 6 to 14, 2025).
- Take all original documents and their copies to be verified at the college.
- Pay the admission fee and tuition fee as per the fee structure of the college and on how to make payment.
- Complete the admission process by submitting documents and confirming the seat at the college.
- If you are not satisfied with the seat you got assigned to, you can upgrade by participating in the Round-2 (if allowed by the authorities).
- If no seat is allotted, you will need to wait for the Round-2 counselling schedule and participate with fresh choices once again.
- Make sure you know about any further rounds like Round-2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy for more opportunities to secure a seat.
