The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2026 exam is set to begin on January 3, 2026. The exams will continue until January 31, 2026, for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, is conducting this important test. Candidates who want to teach in schools in Telangana must take this exam. Hall tickets for the exam will be available from December 27, 2025.
TS TET 2026 Exam Dates and Timings
The TS TET 2026 exam will be held online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). It will take place over 9 days in a total of 15 sessions. On each exam day, there will be two shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
This schedule gives candidates enough time to complete their tests.
Exam Pattern and Subjects
Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The exam will be given in English and the selected Language I (e.g., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati).
Paper 1 Subjects
Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 5. It includes 5 subjects:
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language I (chosen by candidate)
- Language II (English)
- Mathematics
- Environmental Studies
Paper 2 Subjects
Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8. It includes 4 subjects:
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language I (chosen by candidate)
- Language II (English)
- Either Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies (chosen by candidate)
Important Exam Day Guidelines
All candidates must follow these rules on the exam day:
- Reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the start time.
- Carry a printed copy of your TS TET hall ticket.
- Bring one valid photo ID like an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Driving License.
- Do not bring electronic devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, or calculators into the exam hall.
- Keep quiet and follow rules during the exam. Any cheating or bad behaviour will lead to disqualification and legal action.
- Use only the rough work sheets given by the exam centre.
How to Download TS TET Hall Ticket
The TS TET hall tickets will be available for download from December 27, 2025. Candidates must go to the official website and log in with their details to get their hall ticket. No hall tickets will be sent by post. Remember to take a printout of your hall ticket to the exam centre.
What if You Cannot Download Your Hall Ticket?
If you face any problem downloading your admit card, contact the officials immediately. You can reach the Director, SCERT & Ex-officio Director, TSTET, on working days between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM. The office address is:

When you contact them, make sure to have proof of your application. This includes your fee payment journal number, the application reference number, or a printout of your TS TET application form.
