SSC CGL 2025 Tier-1 Answer Key Soon After Re-exam

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon release the provisional answer key for the **Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2025 Tier-1 exam**. This key will include the re-exam held on **October 14, 2025**. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their answers on the official website, ssc.digialm.com. An objection window will open shortly after the answer key is out, allowing students to challenge any incorrect answers.

Re-exam Completed for Affected Candidates

The re-exam for the SSC CGL 2025 Tier-1 was successfully completed today, **October 14, 2025**. This re-test was for about **55,000 candidates** who faced issues during the original exam. These candidates received their admit cards from **October 9, 2025**, through regional SSC websites.

Reasons for the Re-exam

The initial Tier-1 exams were conducted from **September 12 to 26, 2025**. However, some exam sessions faced significant problems. Technical issues, such as server crashes and login errors, affected approximately **25 exam shifts** across India. In addition, a fire incident occurred at an exam centre in Mumbai on **September 26, 2025**, disrupting one shift. To ensure fairness, SSC decided to reschedule the exam for all verified affected candidates for **October 14, 2025**.

Answer Key Release and Objections

The provisional answer key for the SSC CGL 2025 Tier-1 exam, including all re-exam papers, will be available soon. Candidates must visit the official portal, **ssc.digialm.com**, to download it. This key will help students estimate their scores before the final results are declared.

After checking the answer key, if a candidate believes any answer provided by SSC is incorrect, they can raise an objection. Here is how to do it:

  • Select the question you wish to challenge.
  • Pay an objection fee of **₹100 per question**.

About the SSC CGL 2025 Exam

The SSC CGL 2025 exam is a big recruitment drive to fill a total of **14,582 government job vacancies**. These positions are in various Group B and Group C categories across different government departments. For example, the **Income Tax Inspector** position, which is now a Group B post, is part of this recruitment. Applications for these jobs closed on **July 4, 2025**.

Exam Participation and Security

A large number of students applied for these jobs. Around **28 lakh (2.8 million)** candidates submitted applications. Out of these, nearly **13.5 lakh (1.35 million)** students appeared for the initial Tier-1 exam. The exam was held in **255 centres** across **126 cities** and conducted over **45 shifts**.

To ensure fair testing, SSC used **Aadhaar-based authentication** for all candidates. This helped verify the identity of each student. Despite these measures, some cases of cheating, including attempts at remote access, were reported. SSC took strict action and **debarred** (removed from the exam process) those candidates involved in such activities.

Next Steps: Tier-2 and Results

Candidates who qualify in Tier-1 will move on to the next stage, the Tier-2 examination. The SSC CGL 2025 Tier-2 exam is expected to be conducted in **January 2026**. Following this, the final results for the SSC CGL 2025 recruitment drive are anticipated to be announced in **June 2026**.
