Next Steps After Results

Qualifying the CBT 2 exam is a very important step towards getting a railway job. Students who pass this exam will move to the next stages of the recruitment process. These stages are put in place to ensure that only the right candidates, who meet all conditions, are selected for various posts in the Indian Railways.

1. Document Verification (DV)

  • Candidates who successfully clear the CBT 2 exam will receive a call for Document Verification. This is a crucial step where the Railway Recruitment Board checks all your original paperwork.
  • During this process, RRB officials will carefully look at your educational certificates, identity proofs, caste certificates (if applicable), and other important documents you submitted when you applied.
  • This check is done to confirm two main things: first, that you meet all the eligibility rules for the post you applied for, and second, that all the information you provided in your application is true and correct. If any document is not in order, or if information is found to be false, a candidate might not be able to move forward.

2. Medical Examination (ME)

  • After successfully completing and passing the Document Verification stage, qualified candidates will then proceed to a Medical Examination.
  • This examination will be conducted by medical doctors who are officially approved by the RRB. They will perform a thorough health check-up.
  • The main purpose of this medical examination is to make sure that candidates are healthy and physically fit enough for the demands of railway employment. Different railway jobs have different physical requirements, and this test ensures candidates can safely perform their duties without any health issues. Passing this medical check is mandatory.

3. Appointment Process

  • Once a candidate has successfully passed both the Document Verification and the Medical Examination, they are considered eligible for final selection.
  • The Railway Recruitment Board will then prepare and issue official appointment letters to these selected candidates.
  • These appointment letters will specify the job post they have been selected for and the railway zone or production unit where they will be working. This is the final stage, leading to a job in the Indian Railways. Candidates will then be asked to join their assigned positions.

Candidates must keep checking the official RRB website, rrbcdg.gov.in , regularly for the latest updates. The RRB will post all important announcements, confirmed dates, and notices for the result release and the upcoming stages on this website.
