Students who took the NMAT 2025 exam and wish to improve their scores can now register for a retake. The registration window for NMAT 2025 retakes opened on November 6 and will close on December 16 . This is a chance for students to try the exam again to get a better score for admission to various business schools. The main NMAT 2025 exam is currently happening from November 5 to December 19 in more than 60 cities across India.
The exam allows students up to three attempts in the same admission year. Many top business schools in India accept NMAT scores, including NMIMS Mumbai, SPJIMR, ISB, XIMB, VIT, TAPMI, and SDAB.

How to Register for NMAT Retake
To book a second or third attempt for NMAT 2025, follow these simple steps:
- After you take your first exam, log in to your NMAT account on mba.com.
- Check for available exam seats in different cities and on different dates.
- Choose your preferred date and exam centre.
- Pay the retake fee of Rs 3,000 plus 18% GST . You can pay using a debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- After payment, you can immediately download a new admit card.
About the NMAT Exam
The NMAT exam is a 120-minute test with no negative marking. Students can choose the order in which they want to attempt the sections. There are three sections, each with a fixed time limit:
- Language Skills: 36 questions, 28 minutes
- Quantitative Skills: 36 questions, 52 minutes
- Logical Reasoning: 36 questions, 40 minutes
Important Rules for Exam Day
On the day of the exam, students must bring the following:
- Your admit card
- An original photo ID proof. Accepted IDs include:
- Passport
- PAN Card
- Aadhaar Card (with signature)
- Voter ID
- Driving Licence
You should reach the exam centre at least 45 minutes early . Some items are not allowed inside the exam hall. These include mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, and bags.
Exam Results and Preparation
Your NMAT scores will be available on your dashboard within 48 hours after the exam. Official score reports will be sent to the business schools you chose within 3-4 weeks .

Exam Centre Availability
Seats for the NMAT exam fill up quickly in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune . If you are applying from smaller towns such as Nagpur, Ranchi, or Raipur, please note that these locations have limited seats.
Last year, more than 70,000 students took the NMAT exam. This year, the number of students is expected to be even higher, possibly crossing 80,000 .
