The Madhya Pradesh government is taking strong steps to improve board exam results for Class 10 and 12 students. Recently, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain held a meeting with education officials and stressed the need for better performance in schools across the state.

For the academic year 2024-25 , more than 87% of Class 10 students passed their board exams. For Class 12, about 83% of students passed. Mr. Jain wants these numbers to go up in the coming years. He has asked for focused efforts to make sure students do better in their board examinations.

Key Plans for Better Education

The state government has laid out several important plans to improve education quality and student support:

Increasing Student Enrollment

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed officials to increase the number of students joining schools. This means more children should enroll in schools and stay in education longer. Efforts will be made to bring more students into the education system.

Reducing Student Dropouts

Another major goal is to reduce the number of students who leave school before finishing their studies. Officials are asked to work hard to keep students in schools. This includes encouraging children to continue their education from Anganwadi centers all the way through secondary school.

Ensuring All Students Get Scholarships

The Chief Minister has also ordered that 100% of eligible students must receive their scholarships. Mr. Jain added that officials must make sure students get these scholarships and other benefits quickly. It is now mandatory for students from Class 9 up to college to register on the National Scholarship Portal to receive their benefits.

Improving Teacher Attendance

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain emphasized that teachers in government schools must maintain 100% attendance . To ensure this, he urged education officials to actively use the e-Attendance app . This digital app helps track and confirm teacher presence in schools. The app has already shown good results, with 94% teacher compliance recorded in Rajgarh district.

Action Against Negligent Teachers

Mr. Jain has also called for strict action against teachers who do not perform their duties well or show carelessness in their work. This step aims to ensure that all teachers are responsible and committed to providing quality education.
