JoSAA Seat Allotment Result 2025: How to Check
Here are the steps to check seat allotment result:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority at josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that says "View Seat Allotment Result 2025."
Step 3: You will be redirected to a login page. Enter your JoSAA 2025 application number and password.
Step 4: Click on the Login button to proceed.
Step 5: Your seat allotment result will appear on the screen.
Step 6: Carefully verify all the details shown.
Step 7: Download the result and take a printout for future reference.
JoSAA 2025 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)
Candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF) as soon as they have been allotted a seat in any round of the JoSAA counselling process. Unless the candidate pays the SAF, the document verification will not take place for the candidate.
JoSAA Counselling 2025 Seat Confirmation - Freeze/Float/Slide
Candidates must accept the allocated seat and choose one of the following options—‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’, or ‘Float’—for their academic program in any subsequent rounds of JoSAA seat allocation:
- Freeze: By selecting “Freeze,” the candidate accepts the offered seat and confirms satisfaction with the allocated academic program. The candidate will not participate in any further rounds of JoSAA 2025 and will retain the same seat.
- Float: Choosing “Float” means the candidate accepts the offered seat and is willing to be considered for admission to a higher-preference academic program at any Institute in subsequent rounds. If no higher preference is offered, the candidate will continue with the accepted academic program. Candidates opting for “Float” will be considered in future rounds of JoSAA 2025.
- Slide: Selecting “Slide” means the candidate accepts the offered seat and is open to being allocated a higher-preference academic program within the same Institute in later rounds of seat allocation. Candidates who choose “Slide” will also be considered in subsequent rounds of JoSAA 2025.
