The admission process for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic session 2025-26 will be closed by Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) on April 10, 2025. All interested and eligible students ready to apply for JMI admission 2025 must submit the application form online before the deadline. JMI has launched 14 new courses for the academic year 2025-26, as part of an effort to diversify academic offerings and promote skill-based education. This course helps students become employable & boost their creativity in different fields. The courses being launched are:

• M.F.A. in Art Practice in Conceptual Art
• M.F.A., Graphic Art (Printmaking)
• Certificate in Graphic Art
• Certificate Program in Art & Aesthetics
• Certificate in Creative Photography
• Certificate in Calligraphy
• Certificate in Art History & Art Writing

The courses are a part of the university’s commitment to meeting global education standards and aligning its curriculum with industry requirements. JMI has increased the number of Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-based admissions in the 2025-26 academic session. A total of 25 programs will now admit students based on their CUET merit scores, including:

• 9 Undergraduate Programs
• 5 Postgraduate Programs
• 8 Diploma Programs
• 3 Advanced Diploma Programs

JMI is taking this decision as part of its endeavor to make its admission process more standardized and to attract more students from across the country.

Concession for Students from SAARC Nations

While International Admissions have increased significantly, JMI has also played its part in enhancing regional academic integration by reducing the fee structure for SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) students. This program is likely to entice more foreign students, particularly those from adjacent countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, etc.

It has also set aside two BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) seats for foreign nationals. It reinforces the institution's mission of expanding its global footprint and inclusiveness.
