The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has announced important dates for students applying to the B.Ed course. Students who were provisionally selected in the special round of counselling must report to their allotted colleges soon. The final date for these students to complete their admission formalities at the colleges is October 20, 2025 , by 3:00 PM.
This special round of counselling was announced by JKBOPEE on October 10, 2025 . Interested students reported to the JKBOPEE office on the same day, between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM, to participate in this counselling round. The goal of this special round was to fill any remaining seats in the B.Ed course.
Documents Needed for College Reporting
When reporting to their allotted colleges for admission after the special counselling round, students must carry the following original documents:
- Qualifying Marks Certificate: This includes mark sheets for your 10th, 12th, and graduation (10+2+3) exams.
- Domicile Certificate: A certificate showing you are a resident of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh. For students from the Union Territory of Ladakh who belong to a Scheduled Tribe (ST), their ST certificate issued by the right authority will be accepted as a Domicile Certificate.
- Category Certificate: If you belong to any reserved category (like SC, ST, OBC, RBA, ALC/IB, PSP, EWS), you must bring its certificate.
- Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate: Proof of your birth date, usually your 10th class marksheet or a birth certificate.
- Other Certificates: Any additional documents or certificates that the specific college might ask for according to its admission rules.
Important Instructions for Colleges and Students
JKBOPEE has also given specific instructions for both the colleges and the students to ensure the admission process runs smoothly.
For Colleges/Institutions:
- Keep Admission Counters Open: All colleges must keep their admission counters open, even on holidays or off days. This is to help students finish their admission process on time.
- Report Vacant Seats (Shortfall): College heads must keep a record of all admissions. They need to send an email to JKBOPEE with a list of any seats that remain vacant. This email must be sent to coejakbopee@gmail.com or helpdeskjakbopee@gmail.com by October 14, 2025 , at 4:30 PM.
- Admission for Disabled Students: If a student with a disability is selected, colleges must send their case to the nearest Medical College. The Medical College will form a special board to check the student's disability. Based on the board's recommendations, the college will decide on admission. If a disabled student does not meet the required disability standards, they should not be admitted, and the matter must be reported to BOPEE.
- Fee Information: For any questions about admission fees, students who are provisionally recommended for admission should contact their respective colleges directly.
For Students:
- Honest Information: Students must provide correct information during admission. If any false information is found, the student's admission will be cancelled immediately. The Board may also impose a fine or penalty.
- Follow Rules: All other rules and conditions mentioned in the official Information Brochure and other notices from JKBOPEE will still apply. Students should refer to these documents for complete details.
Students and colleges are advised to follow these instructions carefully to ensure a smooth and timely admission process for the B.Ed course.
