The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start registration for the JEE Main 2026 exam. This exam is very important for students who want to study engineering in India. However, many students, especially those living in villages and smaller towns across India, face big problems when trying to register online.

Experts say that the process is not just about having the form available online. It is about making sure every student can actually reach and fill it correctly. Many lakhs of students will try to register, and their first step, filling the online form, is proving to be a challenge for many.

Key Problems Students Face During JEE Main Registration

Several issues make it hard for students to register for JEE Main 2026 easily. These problems often affect students from remote parts of the country more.

1. Poor Internet and Digital Access

One of the biggest issues is the lack of good internet. Students in villages and remote areas often do not have fast internet connections. They might also not have their own computers or smartphones. Sometimes, there are also power cuts. All these things make it very hard to use the online registration form. NTA had a demo registration link, but many students could not use it properly because of these connectivity problems.

2. Language Barrier in the Form

The JEE Main exam question paper is available in 13 different languages . But the registration form itself is only in English and Hindi . This is a big problem for students who do not speak or read English or Hindi well. They might misunderstand questions or click on wrong options while filling the form. Even though there is a correction facility later, it only allows changes to certain parts of the form, not everything.

3. Issues with Important Documents

NTA has asked students to update their Aadhaar cards, caste certificates, and UDID details. This is to make sure there are no mistakes in their personal information. However, for many students, especially from far-off places, getting these documents corrected or updated takes a lot of time and money. They might have to travel long distances and spend money, which adds to their stress.

4. Lack of Guidance and Support

Some students get help from coaching centres or teachers to fill their forms. But many others, especially in rural areas, have to do it all by themselves. They do not have anyone to guide them through the complex online process, which increases the chance of making errors.

5. Website Overload and Server Issues

Once the JEE Main 2026 registration officially opens, many students will try to fill the form at the same time. This rush can cause the official website to slow down, crash, or stop working for some time. Such technical faults can make the registration process even more stressful and difficult for students.

Suggestions to Make JEE Main Registration Easier

To help all students register fairly, some important steps can be taken:

  • Local Advertisements: NTA can put out advertisements in local newspapers about when the registration starts. This helps students in areas with less internet know about the dates.

  • Offline Help Centres: The NTA should set up many physical help centres in smaller towns and villages. These centres can have computers and staff to help students fill their forms correctly, especially those who do not have internet or devices.

  • Better Website Performance: The official JEE Main website needs to be stronger to handle many students at once. This means it should not crash or slow down, even during peak times.

  • More Registration Time: NTA should give enough time for students to register. This would reduce the rush and allow everyone to fill their forms without hurry or server issues.

Making sure that the JEE Main registration is truly easy for everyone is key. It helps all deserving students get a fair chance to apply for this important exam, no matter where they live.
