What is the City Intimation Slip?
The City Intimation Slip is an early notice from NTA. It shows you which city your exam will be held in and on what specific date. This is shared before the official admit card. Its main purpose is to give you enough time to make travel plans to your exam city.
City Slip vs. Admit Card: What is the difference?
It is important to know that the city intimation slip and the admit card are different documents. You cannot use the city intimation slip to enter the exam hall.
- The City Intimation Slip only shows your exam city and date.
- The Admit Card, which comes out later, will have all complete details. This includes the exact exam centre name and address, your exam shift, reporting time, and important rules for exam day.
NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card about 3 to 4 days before your exam date.
