The 2025-26 CSAB and DASA have been assigned to NIT Rourkela by the Ministry of Education. NIT Rourkela is tasked with managing admissions for Indian students for undergraduate courses at 31 NITs, 1 IIEST, 26 IIITs, 3 Planning and Architecture Schools, and 36 government-aided technical institutes collectively termed as the 'NIT+ System.' Further, NIT Rourkela will also manage DASA 2025 admissions for foreign students to these institutes.
IIT Kanpur will manage admissions to the IITs. NIT Rourkela and IIT Kanpur will jointly oversee JoSAA 2025, which will commence in the first week of June 2025 and will span six rounds of seat allocations. Candidates can use josaa.nic.in and csab.nic.in for information.
CSAB’s three Special Rounds aim to fill unsold seats after JoSAA’s last round. There will also be a Supernumerary Round for Union Territory students from Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli at select NITs. CSAB NEUT rounds for North-East state candidates and certain Union Territories will take place in June 2025 as part of AICTE’s reservation initiative.
Expected to participate are approximately 14.5 lakh JEE Main qualified candidates competing for 40,000 available seats across all institutes that participate. There will be twenty percent of the seats available for female students. These processes are online, which include registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification.
For DASA 2025, the selection criteria for allocation will include a candidate’s preference and JEE Main rank, with three planned rounds to follow. More information will be provided at dasanit.org.
NIT Rourkela has also placed multilingual helpdesks to accommodate different regions with remote assistance to better aid students in need. There are also fifty-three help centers all over the country, with at least one in every state and union territory. Documents, along with a dedicated helpdesk, will be available specifically for persons with disabilities (PwD).
Admissions for NIT+ System’s undergraduates in 2025 will solely be on the basis of JEE Main 2025 ranks. This is all in accordance with government regulations.
