The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi—an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting—has opened admissions for two newly launched postgraduate programmes: MA in Media Business Studies and MA in Strategic Communication. Who Can Apply?
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 55% of the possible points, or a 5.5 CGPA, is required of candidates. Those awaiting final results are also eligible to apply.
Admission is primarily based on CUET-PG scores.
- For MA in Media Business Studies, valid scores in Mass Communication & Journalism, Management, Economics, or Commerce are accepted.
- For MA in Strategic Communication, CUET-PG scores in Mass Communication & Journalism or Political Science are required.
There is no age limit, which makes these programmes accessible to recent graduates and working professionals alike.
Seat Availability and Fee Structure
Each course offers 40 regular seats along with 8 supernumerary seats. The latter are reserved for serving defence personnel and experienced media professionals (minimum 10 years). These candidates are selected through a personal interview and do not need to submit CUET-PG scores.
The two-year program costs ₹2,82,000 in total, of which ₹79,000 is due at the time of admission. The application fee is ₹1,500 for General category candidates and ₹1,000 for EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates.
