IIM Ahmedabad 2025 PGP: ₹1.1 Crore 2nd Highest Offer, BFSI Leads

A staggering ₹1.1 crore was offered as the second-highest package, according to IIM Ahmedabad's 2025 PGP placement report. This is the strongest compensation package seen at IIM-A in recent years, second only to the similar ₹1.5 crore package from 2023.

The Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector (BFSI) continues to dominate top pay offers. According to the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) report for IIM-A’s 2025 PGP placements, the highest-earning roles have come from BFSI.

Some more numbers: Consulting remains the leading domain in terms of student preference, attracting 39% of the batch. BFSI is next with 25%. There has been a noticeable shift in preference: consulting's share is the lowest it has been in the last five years, while BFSI's average share from 2021 to 2024 was between 15% and 22%.

This year’s placement pool also reached a record number. There were 395 students placed, which is more than the 385 students placed in 2023. However, international placements dropped sharply: only two students secured consulting roles outside India (Dubai), the lowest in five years.

Recruitment breadth was healthy. A total of 178 companies took part, offering 261 roles. Pre-placement offers (PPOs) were given by the Boston Consulting Group in the largest number, 35 offers.

The mean earning potential (MEP) increased from ₹33.2 lakh in 2024 to ₹35.2 lakh in 2025.
