FITT IIT Delhi and Microsoft Launch ‘Unnati AI Accelerator’ to Empower India’s Tier II and III 

 

The Unnati AI Accelerator which Microsoft has launched in collaboration with FITT at IIT Delhi aims to use artificial intelligence to significantly improve the social conditions of Tier-II and Tier-III towns throughout India.

The Unnati AI Accelerator is a corporate social responsibility initiative that Microsoft and the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi have launched. Its goal is to promote AI-driven social impact in Tier-II and Tier-III Indian towns. With a focus on vital industries like healthcare, agriculture education and sustainability the program gives entrepreneurs access to market capital and mentorship. The initiative seeks to lessen the digital divide in developing nations and encourage inclusive economic growth by enabling sustainable AI solutions at the local level.

In the future smaller Indian towns will have a significant impact on the global AI scene according to the Unnati AI Accelerator. Startups developers and students nationwide can now apply to take part in this game-changing initiative at unnatiai.fitt-iitd.in. Applications are encouraged from innovators in the fields of healthcare agriculture education and sustainability. They can benefit from a structured accelerator program that includes demo days, expert mentorship and boot camps. In order to help build an inclusive AI-driven future for India the initiative also extends an invitation to mentors business partners and industry leaders.

Our dedication to responsible and inclusive AI is demonstrated by the launch of Unnati AI in collaboration with FITT IIT Delhi. 

This programme supports the IndiaAI Mission by enabling innovators in Tier-II and Tier-III towns to address urgent problems in sustainability, healthcare education and agriculture.  Professor,Director, Rangan Banerjee of IIT Delhi said IIT Delhi is excited to support concepts and inventions that can change society and tackle pressing issues like healthcare hunger and climate change. Initiatives like Unnati AI which identify and support grassroots innovators and startups particularly from Tier-II and Tier-III cities are crucial for achieving this vision, said Abhishek Singh Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India.
