Patna, Bihar – The release date for the Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 3 rank card has been postponed. Students waiting for their rank card to get admission into MBBS and BDS courses in Bihar will now be able to check it on October 19, 2025 . This is five days later than the original date of October 14, 2025.
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) announced this change. BCECEB is the official body that manages the state counselling for medical and dental admissions in Bihar. The main reason for this delay is an extension in the schedule for All India Quota (AIQ) Round 3 counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Why Was the Date Changed?
The MCC, which handles counselling for 15% of MBBS/BDS seats across India, recently extended the deadline for Round 3 choice filling and locking. This deadline is now October 16, 2025 . This extension by MCC directly impacts state-level counselling processes like Bihar's.
Many students apply for both the All India Quota and their state quota. When the MCC dates shift, students need time to decide which seat they want to accept. If they get a better option in the All India Quota, they might leave their state seat. To give students enough time to make these important decisions and choose their preferred colleges, BCECEB decided to delay the release of the Bihar NEET UG Round 3 rank card.
BCECEB stated, "Due to the extension of time schedule for Round-3 by MCC, Rank Card publication of UGMAC-2025 is delayed. Now the Rank Card will be published on 19.10.2025 . Concerned students are advised to remain in touch with the Board's website."
