The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started the process of distributing original certificates for students who appeared in the Annual Secondary Examination 2025. According to the board’s latest circular, the certificates have already been dispatched to all District Education Officers (DEOs), and school principals have been instructed to collect them from the DEO offices beginning September 17, 2025.
Schools Asked to Collect and Distribute Certificates Promptly
BSEB has urged all affiliated schools not to delay the collection of certificates. Principals are required to collect the documents at the earliest and hand them over to the students without unnecessary postponement, as these certificates will be crucial for admission to higher studies, competitive exams, and official documentation.
Mandatory Verification Before Issuing to Students
The board has also made it clear that every certificate must undergo strict verification before distribution. School heads are expected to check the details against their official school records. Certificates with discrepancies in photographs — such as:
- Incorrect photo (wrong student’s image)
- Missing photo
- Blurred or unclear photo
must not be given to students. Instead, these documents should be returned to the board’s committee office by October 3, 2025, accompanied by a forwarding letter and necessary proof.
Reporting Missing Certificates
In addition, if any school notices that certain certificates are missing or incomplete, they must immediately notify the District Education Officer and the concerned school-wise committee within two days of detection.
Board’s Reminder to Schools
Through this notification, BSEB has stressed that the responsibility for timely collection, verification, and distribution rests entirely with school authorities. Delay or negligence in handling these official documents could cause difficulties for students, especially as the new academic session has already begun.
