BHU Releases 63 New SWAYAM Online Courses for 2025: Registration, Subjects, Dates & Details

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), one of the leading universities of India, has announced the launch of 63 new SWAYAM online courses for the session 2025. It's a major step that will make it possible for students from all over India to have free access to quality online education.

BHU SWAYAM 2025 Registration Has Been Opened

The online registration of BHU's 2025 SWAYAM courses has been officially launched. Students can register online by visiting the official SWAYAM website: swayam.gov.in/INI. The courses will start in two phases:

• First phase: From 21 July 2025
• Second phase: From 18 August 2025

Interested students are kindly requested to register as early as possible to fill their seats.

Course Duration and Subjects Offered

The BHU SWAYAM 2025 courses are provided with different durations to fit different learning needs:

• 4-week courses
• 8-week courses
• 12-week courses

What is SWAYAM?

SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is an online educational portal developed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It offers free online courses from India's top institutions, making quality education accessible to one and all regardless of where they stay or what their economic status is.

On SWAYAM, students can learn under India's finest professors and institutions, often for free, and gain a certificate on course completion too.

BHU's Expanded Role as SWAYAM National Coordinator

As a result of the great success in launching 37 online courses in the previous sessions, BHU has been appointed as a National Coordinator (NC) on SWAYAM. This assignment has been bestowed by the Ministry of Education towards acknowledging BHU's growing role in online education in India. BHU's appointment as a National Coordinator will take charge of courses from over 160 Institutes of National Importance (INIs) in India, such as IITs, NITs, and Central Universities.

Dr. Ashutosh Mohan Appointed National Coordinator

Dr. Ashutosh Mohan, from the Institute of Management Studies, BHU, has been appointed as the National Coordinator for SWAYAM. BHU, under his leadership, will deal with developing, quality assurance, and online running smoothly courses by various top institutes.

BHU launches Official News Portal

Apart from new course launches, BHU has also launched a dedicated news portal: news.bhu.ac.in. It will provide:
