Role Overview

The STEAM Educator will design and deliver hands-on learning experiences in robotics, coding, 3D printing, Arduino, and related technologies to inspire students and nurture creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. This is an entry-level, full-time role aimed at fresh graduates who are passionate about teaching and maker culture in a STEAM-focused environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Take initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks, including careful handling of equipment, tools, and learning resources in labs, makerspaces, and classrooms.
2. Guide students through STEAM-based projects, competitions, and challenges, offering personalized support and mentoring where needed.
3. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving.
4. Lead and support projects in robotics, coding, 3D printing, Arduino circuits, and other emerging technologies as per the institutional curriculum.
5. Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and student performance, and use this data to track progress and improve instruction.
6. Communicate clearly and professionally with students, peers, and supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of classes, events, and workshops.
7. Support and co-facilitate workshops, events, and camps, and contribute ideas to improve program design and delivery.
8. Stay updated with new tools, platforms, and trends in STEAM education, and be willing to learn and adopt new technologies and pedagogical approaches.

5. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Work Terms and Probation
1. A probation period of 3 months will apply, during which training and mentoring on curriculum, tools, and facilitation methods will be provided.
2. Candidates should consider their personal and financial situation before joining.
3. During probation, if performance, attitude, or role fit is found unsuitable, the organization reserves the right to discontinue employment at any time.
 
Work Location
1. Work location may vary based on organizational needs.
2. The educator may be placed at STEAM Varsity’s Makerspace or deployed to a partner school, university, or institution.
 
Salary (Post-Probation)
1. Monthly salary in the range of ₹17,000–₹20,000, with scope for negotiation for deserving candidates.
2. Future increments, role progression (such as Lead Educator, Curriculum Designer, or Program Coordinator), and performance-based incentives may be defined as per organizational policy.
 
Educational Requirements
1. B. Tech degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical, or related engineering branches; or
2. BCA/MCA in Computer Applications or closely allied fields.
 
Experience
1. Only freshers are eligible for this position.
2. Prior formal teaching experience is not mandatory, but relevant projects, internships, or volunteering in education, robotics clubs, or maker communities will be considered an advantage.
